Wing commander prophecy mods5/22/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() Power management system seems ineffective Somewhat rectified in Wing Commander Prophecy. Scale of enemy ships is comically off - capital ships are all too small. Missions are unreasonably skewed towards the enemy, continuously throwing you and a single wingman against hordes of enemy fighters with no backup, even when you always have an entire carrier's worth of fighters on your side at least Capital ships are largely useless and easy to defeat - mostly rectified in Wing Commander Prophecy. Until WC4, effort put in to variety of different cockpits Fighter designs are wonderful in their simplicity and aesthetic appeal Your wingmen and commanders are people who talk to you and know you by name, and vice versa Since I've been playing Wing Commander again (don't ask me why, got so many new games to play, but the draw of playing WC4 with DVD quality cutscenes was simply too great - so I finished WC3 last week and am now on WC4) and was thinking about why it was so hard for the sadly pretty much dead space fighter sim genre (in other words - I-War not included) to combine all the best features in a single game.
